Julian Neuberger

Julian Neuberger is a Postdoc in Computer Science at Denmarks Technical University (DTU). He received his PhD in Computer Science in 2025 at the University of Bayreuth, Germany. During his doctoral research he specialized in the intersection of Process Science, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. Here, he made contributions to the research of extracting conceptual process models from natural language process descriptions in several high-ranking international conferences. His current research focuses on responsible and sustainable application of large language models to several fields of process science, such as using small language models and symbolic AI for text-to-process, video-to-process, and conformance checking. His tasks in DICE include the efficient and effective extraction of formal models from legal specifications, as well as automated compliance checking process executions on them.
